New Hope Celebrates 25 Years

New Hope Celebrating

On Sunday, April 16, 2000, a divine calling was birthed in my heart. With nothing but faith—faith beyond reason—I gathered 25 orphaned girls, not knowing what the future held. I had no blueprint, no guarantees, only the unwavering certainty that God would lead, guide, and provide. And today, 25 years later, I stand as a witness—He has done exceedingly, abundantly above all I could ask or imagine.

Hundreds of children have passed through these gates of hope. Today, 263 precious lives call New Hope their home. In 2009, God expanded our vision with Granny’s Village, where entire families found shelter, love, and restoration.

But let me tell you—this journey has not been easy. There were nights when I wept, days when the weight felt unbearable, moments when I wondered if we would see tomorrow. Yet, in every storm, God was there. When the road was dark, He was the light. When strength failed, He carried us. "Through many dangers, toils, and snares, I have already come…"
And oh, how true those words ring! Every scar, every tear, every victory— they all testify: It was grace. Grace that fed us when there was no food.
Grace that healed us when sickness struck. Grace that opened doors no man could shut.

To Our Alumni
You were the first fruits of this vision. You walked these halls, sat in these classrooms, prayed under this roof—and now you carry the legacy forward. Wherever you are, remember your roots. Serve God faithfully. Walk justly. Cling to Him, for He alone is your foundation.

To Our Current Children
You are the living proof of God’s promise. Work hard. Love deeply. Serve Him all your days. This home is not just a shelter—it’s a training ground for warriors of faith. Let no one despise your youth; instead, let your lives shine so brightly that the world sees Christ in you.

To Future Children of New Hope
One day, you will sit where others once sat. You will eat where others once ate. You will dream where others once dreamed. Follow in their footsteps— love God, obey His Word, honour those who guide you. This legacy is now yours to uphold.

To my Family
As we mark the Silver Jubilee of New Hope Children’s Centre, I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to four extraordinary young individuals whose unwavering dedication has been a cornerstone of this home’s journey — Regina, Catherine, Anthony, and Carol. Your selfless service, quiet strength, and steadfast commitment have touched the very heart of this mission. You have not only carried out your responsibilities with grace and maturity, but you have also inspired those around you through your compassion, resilience, and deep sense of family. In moments of challenge and triumph alike, you have stood by me — not as mere helpers, but as true partners in this vision. Words cannot fully express the pride and gratitude I feel. Thank you for walking this path with me, for believing in what we do, and for
making this home a place of genuine hope and love.

To Our Friends and Supporters.
You—yes, you—are the hands and feet of Jesus to us. Your prayers, your gifts, your encouragement have been manna in our wilderness. Some of you gave when you had little. Some stood with us when others walked away. God sees your sacrifice. May He repay you a hundredfold, for without you, this story would not be the same.
