21st April Sam is running the TCS London Marathon 2024
Inspired to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds
Sam completed the TCS London Marathon in 4 hours 33 minutes. Well done Sam! A great effort with all of the training that went into it and the pain on the day and days following. Thank you Sam.
So why did he do it?
After High school, Sam was fortunate to have opportunities to further his studies and chose to attend university in Kenya. For many, this opportunity of furthering their studies is not available, not by any fault of their own but because of the circumstances they were born into. Whilst in Kenya, he became close friends with several young people who were supported by Hand in Hand through training and mentorship. For many of them, their hard work has been rewarded, and they are now working as plumbers, nurses or running their own businesses. He is running the 2024 TCS London Marathon to raise money for Hand in Hand Charity to give other young people the opportunity to progress themselves.
£3,731 raised at the time of writing. You can continue to add your support here to give disadvantaged Kenyan students the opportunity to train.

100% of the money Hand in Hand receives from your donations will go to providing training opportunities for students connected to project partners in Kenya. Any Gift Aid received supports our overheads.
The ballot for the TCS London Marathon 2025 opens 22nd April 2024.
